Type xpcsetup in the MATLAB Command Window to access the setup interface. Below is a screen shot of the settings used.
To make a Boot Disk, insert a floppy into the drive and click on the BootDisk button.
Setup Notes:
1) xPC requires a C compiler for use with Real-Time Workshop. On Spindle there is a complete installation of MS Visual Studio 6.0 on C:/ . There was a folder called MS Visual Studio on drive C:/ as well. Ensure that the right path to VisualC is entered into the setup.
2) Pay special attention to have the proper TCP/IP target address, subnetmask and gateway - the connection will not run if any of these are not set correctly.
3) xPC only has drivers for a few types of ethernet cards. The Ethernet board that came with Renshaw isn't supported by xPC, it was replaced by an Intel PRO/100S desktop adapter. This card uses the driver I82559 (see xpcsetup)
4) Each time the settings are changed, a new Boot Disk must be generated
5) Test installation with xpctest from Matlab Command Window.
